about
The story of the angel's visitation to Mary announcing that she was to become the Mother of God, and how Mary responded. And how we too can respond to God's invitation. Upbeat, infectious music.
She was a child
She was barely a woman, and of humble means
When he would appear
Bringing messages from her God unseen
‘Blessed are you among all womankind!
The Lord is with you,
And His favor, daughter, you will find.’
She was afraid
But the angel assured her and told her thus
‘You will conceive
And this child of the Most High you will call Jesus.
The Spirit will come, He will plant the seed.’
She said, ‘Let it be done,
I’m His servant now, so let it be!’
She said ‘yes’ to the Lord for she had found His favor
And she trusted in Him, now she would bear the Saviour
She found room in her heart, putting her fears behind her
By trusting in God, she was to bear the Saviour
Yes, she believed
And a manger provided a birthing place
Soon He was born
And His mother was first to see His Holy Face
And by her ‘yes’ she was key to His birth
She can hold and caress
This child of heaven and of earth
We can believe just as Mary once did
And we can receive our Saviour now as she once did
Making room in our hearts, putting our fears behind us
Saying ‘yes’ to the Lord, He can be born within us
Making room in our hearts, listening as He calls us
And trusting in Him, we can receive the Lord Jesus
